HELINA

Call for Papers

Since 2002, the Hellenic Institute of Acoustics (HELINA), organises the Panhellenic «Acoustics 2012» conference every two years, in cooperation with Greek universities (2002: University of Patras, 2004: Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, 2006: University of Crete, 2008: Democritus University of Thrace, 2010: National Technical University of Athens). This year’s event, the 7th Panhellenic Conference «Acoustics 2014», will be held in October 20-21, 2014 on the town of Thessaloniki, Greece and it is organized by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The goal of the conference is to highlight the work of contemporary Greek scientists in the field of acoustics, to present the recent research results in this field, and to introduce and promote the cooperation of the scientists involved in acoustics and its applications. Additionally, the conference is targeted to those who are interested in keeping up with the recent advances in all areas of acoustics in Greece and world-wide.

Prospective authors are invited to electronically submit a maximum of 750-word extended precis of their work, in which they should clearly state the aim their work and the methodology they followed, while they should additionally provide a brief summary of the relative results and conclusions. The submitted precis must include:

E) a proposed title
EE) the suggested topic of interest (see list below)
EEE) up to seven key-words matching the work scope and
EV) complete affiliation of all authors (name, title, address, e-mail, phone).

Submitted works will be reviewed by at least two independent referees and they will be evaluated according to their significance, originality, technical content, style, clarity and relevance to the conference.

For all accepted papers, camera ready manuscripts (up to 8 pages) must be submitted. To ensure a coherent style in the proceedings, authors must use the template available at the conference web site. Camera-ready manuscripts will be included in the conference proceedings, provided that at least one of the authors will register and present the work. Conference proceedings will be published in electronic form.

For every paper presented in the Conference, there must be at least one author registered and every registered author may present two papers maximum.

Extended precis as well as the camera-ready manuscripts of the works that will be accepted for presentation must be submitted via the EasyChair online submission system following the link
https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=acoustics2014.

Although the official language of the conference is Greek, submissions in English are also strongly encouraged.
