The National Conference on Acoustics, an institution that has been established as the main scientific meeting for the presentation and discussion of developments in the field of Acoustics in Greece, is organized every two years by the Hellenic Institute of Acoustics (HELINA) in collaboration with a Greek university. In this context, the 13th conference “ACOUSTICS 2026” will take place from October 16 to 18, 2026, at the facilities of the International Hellenic University in Thermi, Thessaloniki.
The conference is organized by the Hellenic Institute of Acoustics in collaboration with the International Hellenic University and is addressed to the scientific and professional community active in the various fields of acoustics and its applications. The event aims to serve as a meeting point for researchers, university faculty, scientists, engineers, professionals, and students, promoting the exchange of knowledge and the development of collaborations at both national and international levels.
The main objective of the conference is to highlight the research and scientific work produced in the field of acoustics by Greek scientists and research groups, as well as to present recent theoretical and applied approaches across the broad spectrum of acoustics. At the same time, the conference seeks to promote interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration among different fields related to acoustics, such as environmental acoustics, architectural acoustics, electroacoustics, music technology, audio signal processing, and modern sound-related technological applications.
Through scientific paper presentations, thematic sessions, and discussions, the conference “ACOUSTICS 2026” aims to contribute substantially to the dissemination of scientific knowledge, the promotion of innovative research results, and the strengthening of the scientific community active in the field of acoustics in Greece. At the same time, it seeks to create a productive environment for dialogue and exchange of ideas, encouraging new research initiatives and collaborations among universities, research institutions, and professional organizations.
