Since 2002, the Hellenic Institute of Acoustics (HELINA: member of the European Acoustics Association Ε.Α.Α), organises the Panhellenic «Acoustics» conference every two years, in cooperation with Greek universities (2002: University of Patras, 2004: Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, 2006: University of Crete, 2008: Democritus University of Thrace, 2010: National Technical University of Athens, 2012: Ionian University of Corfu, 2014: Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, 2016: Piraeus University of Applied Sciences). This year’s event, the 9th Panhellenic Conference «Acoustics 2018», will be held in October 8th-9th, 2018 in the Conference and Cultural Center of the University of Patras.
The goal of the conference is to highlight the work of contemporary Greek scientists in the field of acoustics, to present the recent research results in this field, and to introduce and promote the cooperation of the scientists involved in acoustics and its applications. Additionally, the conference is targeted to those who are interested in keeping up with the recent advances in all areas of acoustics in Greece and world-wide.
